How to Get xDAI / How to Convert DAI to xDAI / ETH > DAI > xDAI
- Install MetaMask, create an account. Deposit some ETH.
- Convert ETH to DAI with Uniswap. Now you have DAI in your MetaMask account.
- Go to xdai.io. Click on Exchange. Click on the ETH to DAI button.
- Choose an amount, click Send button. After you click send it can take a few minutes. Be patient. It can take several minutes.
5. Wait until you see the “Waiting for bridge…” message, then click Done on the bottom.
6. Switch network in MetaMask from Ethereum Mainnet to the DAI POA Network.
Copy and paste “https://dai.poa.network” from the top right corner of the xdai.io page.
Choose “Custom RPC” in MetaMask after you click. See above image.
Scroll down until you see “New Network” and the box that has “New RPC URL” and paste in the POA network URL there. Click Save.
You are now on the DAI POA Network and should see your xDAI in your MetaMask account.
And you should now see it on xdai.io as well.
